Noise & Plant Survey

This report discusses the environmental noise survey methodology, and presents the results obtained.

In general the noise levels were found to be high all around the site and at all times. Subjectively the dominant noise sources were road traffic on Charing Cross Road and Little Newport Street, and to a lesser extent the people on the pavements and pedestrian zones in Cranbourn Street and Leicester Court. During the night, significant noise levels were generated by roadsweepers.
